Write an analysis based off of enviornmental issues that invites a close, methodical, examination. Use clear, precise language to describe your subject, explain your findings, and offer your insights.
Write at least 1000–1500 words.
Locate, evaluate, and integrate at least three sources that directly address your subject. Your project will likely require additional research in order to discuss the subject in depth.
Cite and document all sources that you use according to MLA 8th Edition. Cite information that is not common knowledge and when you use someone else’s ideas, arguments, language, or other materials.
Include an accurate list of works cited at the end of your essay. Each entry in your works cited list must be cited in the body of your essay with a signal phrase and/or parenthetical in-text citation that points unambiguously back to that entry.
Add the kind of analysis you are writing to the end of the MLA header, on the line immediately below the date.
Problems to Avoid
Do not select too broad a topic or write a shallow overview.
Do not write to persuade.
Do not use block quotes under any circumstances in this course, and avoid using lengthy direct quotations. (You may present data for a data analysis, but lengthy quotes are not included in the word count.)
