Now that you have a better understanding of the diversity of our country state by state, and the provisions laid out in the Constitution, read the articles below relating to the COVID-19 government response and offer your analysis. Using your textbook, notes and slides, read the following articles and write a 350-word analysis identifying FOUR major points within the articles you identify as they relate to federalism and the COVID-19 response.
The articles all focus on the different perspectives federal and state government leaders operationalized during the response. Some states, such as New York State, have dense populations with massive disease outbreaks while other states like South Dakota or Wyoming have less population have had fewer disease outbreaks. It is a delicate balance between what the federal government can mandate and what ALL states do under the model of federalism.
